This is how they will get around the lack of jet skis :)
This might work better . . .
f that thing.
I heard it was scientifically designed in a laboratory to piss off surfers.
How much would I pay to see that thing putting around Steamer Lane?
screw that. i'm getting two - one for each foot.
@wrybread: would that be funny! whoever was sporting that thing could sit way outside and be up and riding before even getting into the scrum.
He'd have to park far away because there'd be a crowd of surfers waiting to kick his ass in the bluff lots. I'd advise the guy to exit at Cowell's.
Wouldn't even help the paddle on a big day up here. Maybe down south.
@cosmogenic: I can get with the argument that using a motorized contraption is no longer surfing. However, I disagree with your contention that it wouldn't help in the paddle. If it really goes 12mph, of course it would help! unless your technique for getting out is ditching the board, swimming underneath the incoming whitewater and pulling the board via leash.
I'd get one to ferry waffles and hot chocolate out to me for those chilly winter dawn patrols. Beer for sunset. Whiskey for whenever.
Put put put put WAFFLEZ!
Peachy puffs SUP, a reality.
This reminds me of riding a moped when I was a kid. If i saw a cop I'd start peddling like the engine wasnt on. (Not sure if being 10 and on the thing was legal or not). I'll buy one of these powered surfboards and then paddle furiously around in the lineup pretending there's no motor.
please vote for @kok's comment: http://stokereport.com/rant/what-all-pros-will-be-riding-november-rip-cu.... it's another classic and it's got a shameful one vote.
it is obviously hugely bad karma to use one of these
I'm going to get it. I'll be too embarrassed to bring it out on any day under 12' though.
I'm basically going to take it out when the paddle is keeping wrybread out and the beach is empty... I can't count how many days I was out there all by myself last winter. And I'd only catch one wave because they were so big and fast... now I will catch them all. All by myself.
