Where's the OB cam?

Rant - Where's the OB cam?

So now no cams at all? And, according to Surfline.com OB is now listed under "Central California."

Well...honestly with like 20kt winds and when even the kiters refuse to come out, who needs to see it? If you go, you go, if you don't you don't.
An experienced surfer will take the wind forecast, the swell forecast, and probably have enough information from that to make either an intelligent or wave-starved decision.
Good luck to all during this next stretch of blowing :(

I'm hoping it's more to do with the fact that the cam has been broken more days than not, lately, and not due to any more intimidation.

?? what cam is missing? both surfline cams are still up and so is surfpulse. and it doesn't get more central CA than SF.

@minyan: and right you are, I just like to see the "big" cam here. Surfline is too small unless your a Premium Member, as is SurfPulse small. Plus, I'm 35 miles from the beach so it's not just a quick drive out there.

if you're talking about the ob-###### picture on the SFOB page, it's back after an outage.

Sorry folks, was out of town for a few weeks. Tried to manage it from the Himalayas albeit unsuccessfully. Always problems with the cam / 'puter connection, the photo grab software, the FTP software or the batch photo processor. Something is always puking. If anyone has any experience in these things I'd love to chat with you as I'm trying to figure out a more stable solution.
