Rant - Who remembers the first air shot shown in a magazine?

I will always remember this magazine and the smell of my Zogs Sex Wax. Amazing to think of where surfing has become.

Who else remembers this?

There was a shot of Kevin Reed in Surfer before this one.

I stand corrected though this one stands in my head. I looked at Kevin Reed's and it's looks more like a air kick-out. This one looks like a real air. Look at this video of him in the 80's pulling them off.

Pretty progressive surfing for the mid / late 80's.

I had to fix the tracking on that vid, but it was AWESOME and the gym weight lifting gloves are utter class. I def got some ideas from that! :D

Weird that airs never really picked up momentum / popularity. I think the next people that come to mind were Archie and Fletcher
