All this talk of the landlord of late had me pondering while strolling on the beach today.
Am I afraid of sharks out in the lineup?
Or does it add to the thrill of being out there knowing that some of the top predators are still out there too?
That we haven't yet destroyed (and displaced) these extraordinary critters. Like hiking in the hills knowing that a mountain line might be eyeing you.
So what do YOU think when you are out late in the afternoon, everyone else seems to have paddled in, and something dark (seaweed maybe??) brushes against you leg?
Any tails (sic.) to tell?

Yeah sometimes when I find myself sitting outside all alone I glance around a bit more. Try to remember that statistically driving to the surf is about 100 X times more deadly than the surfing itself. I always try to make it down to MBAquarium when they have a juvenile GW on display-Even the 6 foot babies put me in awe. Compared to the other sharks and fish their built like tanks... a few more shark incidents could do a lot to thin out the crowds!

I'm in the "adds to the thrill" category. Sharks, along with earthquakes, are two things which add a little bit of zest to my fabulous California lifestyle, neither of which is particularly likely to actually kill me.
