@Mick - to my knowledge there are no shots of whales at that spot. Just dudes freezing their asses without wetsuits around 1968. Speaking of whales, there was one, a small humpback, hanging out less than a hundred yards offshore @ F. Funston last Sunday. It stayed there for at least 30mn...

The very last shot does not look much different today. Except possibly a view of tunnel construction.
