good surfing conditions at Santa Cruz - Steamer Lane

Friday 11am - Santa Cruz - Steamer Lane, good+ surfing

Debated on meeting some friends at SMHM but chose to get up early and head south. Surfed from 7:30 to 9:30 and it just got better and better as the tide dropped. Solid 4-6' with frequent 7-8' sets rolling through. Only 6 guys in the water at 7:30 and we were all sharing waves. Very unusual vibe for sittin on the peak with a mix of long and shortboarders. Sunny, warm, and lots of waves. Great way to start my Friday and stoked to have logged 4 sessions this week!

What a week. 5 solid days of surf and I'm spent. Totally wiped out but happy. Glad you had that experience at the Lane. It's unique. Enjoy it. :)

Thanks! I grew up surfing mostly west side SC and I never get tired of it. And yes not often one gets to share waves with a mellow pack at the Lane. I'm almost wiped. Hoping to get one more session in this weekend, but if not - I'M STOKED!!!

Good times! And it's been like this since Christmas weekend, conditions between fair and great on bigger days, but haven't see any really poor day in a while!
Have been surfing 3-5 times per week with offshore conditions and a lovely warm weather, not only a great week, such a great winter indeed, looking the buos with onshore flow and really don't care now, im super stoked
