Better than it looks from shore (Ha! that's a fog joke).
Good but unspectacular conditions. HH-1.5x. A little disorganized but some nice ones were coming through on occasion. No real wind. Really foggy when I was out, but it seemed to be clearing quickly. I caught a left w/a wide open expansive face that steepened the longer I rode it. Rode it in to the inner bar & barely avoided decapitation.
Worth the paddle but session cut short due to Board meeting. Stupid meetings.

Solid fun out there for the early birds.
Finally manned up for a right only for the explosion behind, and then took an air drop over the falls. The intent was there, but the board wasn't.
Pardon the aggrandizement, but then it was angry times for one of the most solid lefts I've had all season. It was like a lucid dream, where I have tunnel vision, and am not paying attention to anything. Only thinking about how to get up on something so steep, and just concentrating on what's in front of me. Having been on the face gliding down for what seemed to be ages...and the act of actually standing up had been a long forgotten act, I was abruptly woken up by a BOOOOOOOM behind me, and rode that carpet all the way home.
Another morning of pussy foot, pussy foot, anger, success heh.

I never managed to connect outside, chased many promising seeming peaks, but only got close to what looked like epic closeouts that I immediately kicked out of. Probably needless as the power was not so huge this morning. Badly underestimated the current and had a very vigorous paddle in after some SF's offshore geology suddenly appeared out of the fog. Then had the bright idea of trying to connect with one of the shoulder high messes further inside. Earned a very wild ride that involved much hanging on to the rails and little surfing. Don't like high tide much. Wish I had a long board this morning.
