Better than expected. Woke up to the internets telling me that winds were kiting at 20-25kts. Stupid internets. Stubborn me. I checked it anyway. No wind, sunny skies, mixed up shoulder high surf offering lots of ramps & some faces. A few rails were grabbed. I chose the inside, others the outside.
Stoked. Surf!
Hung out on the inside, got a few ones after some undue caution :), and then moved outside, where oddly I managed to pick one up there as well. Great shopping day! Much better than expected! Definitely a great deal of fun.
Had fun this morning, better than I thought. Caught a few on the inside. Sunny, no wind, and nobody out! Stoked! Wind seems to be picking up.
I wouldn't quite give it a Good rating. Where I was I'd say Fair at best. However, I concur that it was sunny, no wind and no one out. Had a bit of trouble getting out past the wind swell shore break but once out was rewarded with shifty SH peaks. Definitely worth the paddle.
Hmmm yeah Good is a bit generous...fair plus IMO in terms of the conditions. Def some nugs out there, which after what we've been going through, probably encouraged the overzealous rating! Surfable, caught few waves, fun kinda good. Not HH+ clean corduroy peelers good :)
