poor surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Seconded. Excited just to see glassy images of OB for a change. But it was already mushed up slop by the time I got there. Disorganized. Small. Currents like the Colorado river.

Was OK around 7 (for Summer). Lot's of paddling but an occasional nugget. Dying to get some real waves though...

I walked around a while looking at the waves. There were faint glimmers of hope. Oh I could bodysurf that little inside shoulder. Maybe with a longboard I could pick off that little face over there. Sadly those I saw in the water weren't getting any of the imaginary waves I was riding in my head. Listened to a sad horn blowing off somewhere I couldn't see.

Picked up a few sand dollars, went to Devil's Teeth Bakeryfor snack, then day drank on my porch.

Worse than out there than swimming laps while guy in next lane sports a man-thong? I'll take sloppy o b over sloppy euro dude at ClubOne this afternoon. Blecch. Can't wait for my eyesight to get worse

Went nugget farming myself S of LM...not too shabby

took a friend out cause she wanted to relearn how to surf, figured the big ass longboard i learnt on would be her jam. she wasn't feeling it and wanted my short board instead. ended up having a blast on the longy. we were both stoked to watch elissa steamer shred it up. spotted a mysterious black fin in the distance at one point. the masses seemed to agree on it being a dolphin and not a shark.

not too shabby the early am down here. had a peak to myself for 90 minutes or so of low-tide goodness next to some familiar rocks. then the sun came out. wtf? is this really july? wind killed it around mid-day.
