Looks terrible, but have to agree, it is surprisingly surfable.

As I paraphrased Groundhog Day to Platypus this morn, "Of course the surf sucks. What do you think this is? Fall?!!!

But, as they've said, it was surprisingly not completely unsurfable given the strong winds.

Last Sept. 1, 2010 was super warm, with these really consistent S-HH waves, that were hidden from the beach by a veil of haze, but every once in a while you'd look offshore and see someone in a barrel out there.

This was the first time I paddled out this week - just needed to get wet and also was inspired by "How to grovel" http://stokereport.com/rant/how-grovel

Well, groveled a bit :) Had fun. Summer crowd of two surfers in the line-up (including myself).
