I've never seen a tail snap like that before. What dems are you looking for? Do you know what type of cloth was used when glassing the board? If you break boards regularly maybe you should invest in a custom stick with 6oz S cloth.

You could do that on a duckdive in shallow water if your back foot drives the tail into the sand.

No one can say you weren't bustin your tail today, that's for sure. :(

Ha! I actually witnessed this. Witnessed @napa steve getting out with two halves of a board anyway. It was too dumpy and closed out for me to give it a go - way more intense than those waves back in Arizona.
