12:30 to about 2:00 was lots of fun. Perfect for my tastes. Glassy with fun size and enough waves for everybody. Dolphins, sun, and plovers were there too. Once the chop/tide turned on though it got crappy really fast.

So two "poor" reports along with two "good" reports for OB, all referencing the same time?
Sounds about right.

I would venture the disparity in reporting has something to do with amount of foam that those who reported it as "good" had under foot....if each afternoon reporter were to list their board specs and the exact time of their session it might make more sense...There will always be an highly personal algorithm behind folks reports unless it's total crap! You say tomatoes.....I say tomahhhhhhhhtoes....

welcome to surf reporting - one man's dogshit is another man's barrel fest.
It was good yesterday, maybe a little fat. And to that guy that said there were 250+ people in the water, he is full of shit.

Went out in the m1ddle at 11 to crowded, fat flabs. No fun even on longboard. Left after 10 min and went a mile north and got fun close to shore dumpers on my 5'7 fish till 2. The beach is just funky like that and why you gotta check around. And yeah...i dont even think there were 250 people out along the whole stretch

For the 1st time in forever, I had a 3 hour session yesterday. Not b/c the waves were epic, or even that good, they weren't, but b/c it was insanely glassy, incredibly warm & sunny, and I was out w/a big crew of friends & grinning heads w/lots of hoots & laughter. Caught a ton of waves & finally got out only b/c it was time to go enjoy the best music festival in the country. I had an overabundance of riches, and I'll be stoked for a week as a result.
Perhaps that's why you got some overly positive reports. :)
