fair surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Thursday 11am - San Francisco - Ocean Beach, fair+ surfing

I took a peak tour, courtesy of the north bound express. It was only one way, and had to get off when I run out of beach at sight.
There were some fun peaks to be had around 8.30 / 9am, and it was a one man one peak situation, so I can't complain. I would have enjoyed another hour of those conditions though. The waves were deteriorating quickly as the tide started rising, and the south wind swell was filling in.
Overall, very nice morning, sun out, off shores, HH peelers. Welcome fall!
I hate crossing the bay bridge in the mornings in weekdays!

Judging from the 1,000 signs announcing the Women's Marathon this weekend all over the site, I suspect they plan on having some sort of run race. :)

Oh crap, that means they're going to shut off the parking, and maybe access to the north part of the Great Highway too. Maybe not all of it (hope not). I understand the desire to hold events in locations that can accommodate a crowd, but can they set up and break down a little quicker? How long have the barricades been up already? Definitely more of these events than there used to be.

I saw a sign saying that the Great High and Skyline were being shut down from 4am to 4pm
