1030am-1230pm. I love OB --- for 2+ hours, there was not even another soul within earshot, save for the dolphins, as I feasted on glassy head-high peaks at a mysto-bar that for whatever reason, was choosing to break fairly consistently despite what should have been a suffocating 6+ high tide. Sunny, windless, glassy, gorgeous day, and plenty of nice rides. Who would'a known? Stoked.
just outta curiousity - how much foam did you bring & was it soft (or throwing)? My guess would be soft, fun & more foam... How'd I do?

PS: I too caught it as you described. I think I was in Fullerton. But could be mistaken.

Hey Platypus - I felt perfectly equipped on a 6'4" pumpkin seed; it was a bit on the softer side, of course, but not nearly as much as I thought it would be... and a couple of times the outer bar linked up energies with a racy middle/inner bar ride. Expectations surpassed.
very nice report. i was out from 3:30 to 5 and it was pretty marginal. waves got better as the tide dropped but texture got shittier as the onshores blew harder. had a couple of nice rides and a fun closeout drop to end the day so im not complainin
