Conditions were super glassy & small to start with this morning. Pretty intermittent. Some nice long clean rides to have, but looong waits in between. Loggable. Then it started to pick up. By the time we got out, waves were in the shoulder - head high range and definitely shortboardable, though still moving around quite a bit.
Keep an eye on rising swell & outgoing tide.
It was fun. I scored mostly short rides with some makeable sections here and there. Nice weather. I'd give it a fair+ but maybe only a fair on account of the intermittentness you mentioned.
I had fun! Kooked it up out there a little, but there were some really fun sets and a gorgeous morning.
Long lulls and a little soft from the get go, but def came up in size and punch. Pretty fun on the longboard. I was definitely appreciating the lulls once the size came up. Lots of pushback on the longboard with the bigger sets. Huff puff. Fair/fair- is pretty, well, fair. I had fun :)
Spotted you out there Tracey but had a friend up from Santa Cruz with me and I guess I was being lazy (too lazy to make the paddle over there). Saw you catch some fun ones!
Thanks! I was wondering if I'd see anyone familiar at that spot. I'm guessing I was down a bit from you then? We were a little outside the pack for a while. I don't mind picking off the mushier ones going wide. Hope you guys had fun!
