surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Yes, yes, and yes. Where I usually go out looked like junk. I found it really paid to explore the beach this morning to find areas with less of the 'wind swelly' factor you mentioned.

all mixed up out there. no time to explore pre-work, so went for the closest thing to a bowl section I could find. spent most of the time scrambling around trying to stay on it.

Yeah, normally wouldn't have had the time either but working from home today so I got to put the normal commute time towards exploring.

I was halfway to work before I could feel my feet again.

Good times...you're right though sticker, it was clean but wind swelly and not a nice ground swell, that produced steep drops followed by da flabb. Snagged a few, did a bunch of paddling, and called it. Our beach. :)
