good surfing conditions at San Mateo - Linda Mar

I had the TB end almost to myself but sorry I missed y'all. Distant dolphins for company on the long cold lulls.

Best ever, hmm, not quite hardly, but there were some fun little sections.

Took some photos on the water but sadly they won't upload.

It was pretty solid on the two working peaks aways from you, but yes I believe the caveat was "it doesn't get any better than this...at Linda Mar."

That said, I still had a lot of dang fun. Clean, pretty consistent size and shape, long open faces, and even a little peppy at times. Wave hungry crowd was a little hectic, but folks were friendly and hooting up a storm. I'm stoked for sure.

Too bad, wrong end of the beach sufergrrrl. You missed the annual sale at the Leftorium. Surprisingly fun.

Leftorium ment open rights with a fun drop and pump to the shoulder for me. woo woo. Would not say "all time" Lindy by any means, but tasty.

I'm crowd-adverse so I'll take an empty lesser peak to myself any day. Here are pix/vid/report if anyone's interested:

I thought I was dreamin, too much fun for Lindos, then I woke up when a board was ditched in my face on a chest-hi mushburger. Good ol' Linda, its such a love-hate relationship. Damn good time though

i'm with surfergrrl forget the crowds. I paddled out for the heck of it (b/c i already checked the pier and it wasn't working) at the peak furthest to the north and i counted at least 28 people all battling for the single peak. i didn't get a wave for 30 minutes b/c i tried to wait my turn but it was to no avail. people disregarded any sort of etiquette but then again it's lindy... so i headed to my own peak and low and behold i get 5 in a row and then 10 people paddle towards me. =( oh well u can't win them all... i'd say fair at best b/c there were only two peaks working and the crowds ruined it for me at least... give me an empty line-up with 6-8ft at 15 sec in spring at lindy and i will be happy

@im-white - I think I saw you gettin some good solo ones in Canada. I both chuckled and felt for you when a pack of envious eyes made their way north. Agreed, a notch or two bigger, and you could keep MOST of the kook factor runnin for the border.

Took my SUP out (far away from the crowd like they're meant to be surfed) and had a nice time on my own little peak. The sun even came out. There would have been at least 1,400 people out on a Saturday.

You can't complain about crowds if you are posting about where the waves are good.

As if a StokeReport post about a fun day at Linda Mar is going to make it crowded, LOL. Sorry fin, you're thirty years late on that one. I learned to surf there back in the mid-80s, and it's always been a zoo.

As for the SUP hate, it's about as lame as any other kind of hate. What did you ride today? So I can post a picture of some kook flailing around on one.

Looked like crapola to me at 3:30pm, so I didn't even bother getting wet. The low tide must have killed it. Crowd-wise, the desperado factor probably figured in... after several days of rain, I think a lot of people were just happy to get out there. I guess I wasn't that desperate this time.

The pics are funny on their own, but it gets lost in the context of the tard comments.

The one good thing to come of this, is that your photo really got me thinking... I'm gonna teach my grandma how to stand up paddle surf! She is already a SeaCliff resident, so it'll be real convenient for the winter breaks around there. We'll see you at low tide, shredders!
