Saterday morning, surfed tacobell rights. got in 7 a.m. not great but had a good maintanance sesion. until the sup's paddled out and changed the vibe. Whats up with those guys?

I want to make stickers or shirts that say "FU-SUP". SUP's totally change the dynamic of the lineup more than someone on a huge LB. Or perhaps just get a good chant going in the water "FU-SUP, FU-SUP, FU-SUP" just to mess with them.
I can envision the scene unfolding: "My fellow prone-paddlers! We must repel these invaders who use absurd levels of buoyancy and torque to dominate the lineup. Rise up with out stand up paddling! Join me in voice-FU-SUP!"
Was down in Cabo last month, and same thing. They seem to think because they are "standing up" first that they have priority on every single wave. I think a day will come where there will be so many of them everyone will just drop in on them without thinking about it. I mean, would you give right of way to a jet ski? SUP's are boats not surfboards
I always tell myself: It could be worse...it could be me on SUP. Just surf, and be happy.
It's my understanding that most of those SUP guy's are long time local's. And the reason I'm hearing for they're transition to SUP's is the mass influx of new surfers. I don't know how true that is. However if it is. I need to ask myself. who has more reason to complain? I understand that there has been a long history of surfing on the San Mateo Coast. there is also a culture. And that people like me and others that are learning how to surf must respect. Like it or not. To be honest the more i surf and meet other surfers. the more i meet people that aren't even from california. Like myself.

Thanks Fin. One thing I don't understand is. If these sup'rs are locals. And if they are a part of the surf comunity in pacifica. And excepted in THE Pacifica "surf comunity" Who sets the rules? The locals or the visitors? If the locals have they're own way who are we to tell the what is right or wrong? Just asking.
