my guess is you got negs cause "nizzle" is not PC enough for all the enlightened people on this site...I gave you a +1, hope that helps.
LM looked like crap, but some south swell sets made it okay today.

Since nobody has stepped up, TT, maybe this will help. Your report is indicitive of why I often read but never heed SR surf reports. Too often the exuberance (stoke) completely taints the much-sought objective reality. Here, conditions can be called poor-fair-good simply on the basis of a belly ride to the beach, sunshine, dolphin or whale sightings, or even a jelly donut apres surf...and that's cool...but cool also that I choose not to act on it. This particular report flies in the face of common sense and knowledge for LM. Your post at 6am was soon after the minus low tide. 97.3% of the time Linda does not like low tide....for a minus tide she won't even get out of her frumpy jammies. The cams this morning displayed flat conditions with just a handful of wishful thinkers out. "2-3 ft. softies good for longboards", that (the longboard part) is pretty much understood. Fair+ is just a squeech below good....sorry, but I have my doubts. Uh oh, and now I think I see a thumbs-down sneaker set ready to land on my head.

@sharkturd, would you prefer that a SR "Donʻt" be that reports not be given via "Mobile," while at the specific location?

I know that with all the other sites that report on conditions we certainly donʻt need it here. Thus my point, that this site be the ʻsharingʻ of the Stoke after a session, good or bad, as I ALWAYS do.

I guess I got lucky that 2.7% of a time on low tide shark turd
Thanks for the stoker AC

Side note for AC, for your info. A south swell is not even visable at LM. If you look at LM on a map it faces almost directly north. A south won't get into LM.

Tenderloin tom

Maybe AC meant swells traveling south-ish!? Today is that 97.3% of the time that shark turd is talking about = low tide crap

"Shoulda been here yesterday" endless( windy)summer

RE: south swell doesn't show at LM..., it's called refraction and swell bending, look it up. On second thought, don't go surf there on a long period south, it sucks.
Thanks for the expertise/tip.

LM can pick up Southwest swell if the swell period is long enough to make it rap around Point Pedro. Look at Steamer Lane it faces South and picks up a lot of Northwest swell

Lm is way more protected from S swells than either The Lane or PP are from NW swell. NW swell comes to SC at a much less-steep angle (hence the good swell-wrap there), than do any true S swells entering nor cal. A detailed map of LM/Pedro Point reveals a beach lying just outside the pit of a C shaped cove pointed pretty much directly north. There would practically have to be a 360 u-turn bend around Pedro for S swells to hit LM. But the very narth (turtle protected) end of LM will get a bit of south if there is a healthy dose of west in it as well. And, yeh, ANY decent sized ground swell closes out LM regardless of the direction. The girl is not a size queen.

Can I get a thumbs up yet?

This post is done!

Smoke another one. Been surfing in Pacifica for 30 years and
Haven't ever seen any sign of a south at Lm. A west At Lm can look like a south
At Lm because of it facing north.

Linda Mar is completely sheltered from a south swell.

South swells don't hit LM. Tenderloin Tom, I have to give you a thumbs down. You're trying too hard for computer karma.
