I got tore up for a pre surf report

I'm getting torn up inside with all the spelling and grammatical errors.

Don't feel bad! I got tore up before for posting about conditions 6 hours AFTER I went after the sun had set already. and yep - smlm was not so great tonight.

I'm not sure how this "no pre surf report" thing started. FWIW it doesn't make any sense to me and it's certainly not part of the community standards: http://stokereport.com/content/what-are-community-standards-follow-stoke...

Duckdive: I thought it came out of the last big round of folks complaining about stoke report crowding the lineup. Maybe I took it to heart and thought it was unofficially official.

Personally, I like the "if you didn't surf it, don't post it" rule of thumb for preventing hyping and future-gulling.

I also haven't been voting down TenderloinTom for doing posting pre-surf reports, so I'm guessing a few other people either are anti-pre-session reports or are grammar nazis. ;D

Here's my post post

I went out yesterday 6/19 @4:30pm, I had some nice waves 3-5 footers! Nice right in front of nacho bell, was low tide and shallow , almost glassy,light wind,some bigger set oh the head high side! Took my new board out7'10" egg mini log, good times

So my post is after my session this time! Some times I give the post before i paddle out so its up to date at that time then shred!If I do that then it's more accurate ,let's say I surf for 2 hours and the waves/ tide change

Even though I'm not quite clear on that concept myself, I thought you were a made-up character. To be clear Tracey, I am a grammar Nazi, as per Godwin's online rules. Also, not posting before you surf has been the norm. As for whether I care about pre/post posting? No I don't. :) So for mine own part, you got the grammar part right, especially in the headline apportionment of the post, which is shown to the world front and center :) Have a nice day, signed your fourth grade teacher whom is against iPhones, auto-correct, and cheating and drop-ins.

The 7'10" is a mini tanker! Mini longboard ,looks like a egg! I painted it red,yellow,green for my rasta peeps,it's a single fin and I use it to soul surf and drag my hand in the wave and connect the sections with grace

Posting post session is the way to go. I don't want to hear about shitty low-tide we-all-knew-it-was-bad-anyway Linda Mar unless you were desperate enough to paddle out. We can all do our own speculations
