A lot of sideshore turning onshore wind, but still some fun sections as the tide was rising. Too much water and wind after awhile. Looked like a longboard by Dick's house would have been a decent call.
i watched a guy rip a sick floater and then proceed to catch a little barrel action on the very very far inside. i was impressed and his paddle back out was quite enthusiastic.
Just surfed it and would call it Fair + . Zippy, shoulder high, and side shore offshore. LONGGGGGG NOSE RIDES...... :)
Between 8am to 930 am it was pretty great dwn at b0te-dox. clean long lines (chest high on the sets) which stayed open with the cross offshore. no crowd at all...
I saw that windsurfer out there yesterday too! I didn't bother going out at that time and figured it would be similar today. Too damn windy and a lot of close-outs. The burnout vs reward ratio looked a bit too high for my tastes.
I was out today from 5:30-7 and it was damn fun. Windy, yes, but it made the lefts ultra-zippy. The rights were hard to get into due to the wind, but it was nice to get back out on the 6'1. I even got a little close-out barrel on the inside. Overall, a success.
