While slightly cleaner than a few other spots we checked, this particular breaking wave was still offering up plenty of short period shiftyness. It was a bit more work than our usual haunts, but worth it to snag a few chest and occasional shoulder high waves with a surfable bit of shoulder. The churning inside felt like winter, the disorganized outside was summer for sure.
Up here in S.F. the beach was looking waist/waste high and utterly hopeless. I ran the length of it instead of surfing, and there wasn't a soul out. I've been back from Hawaii for a week and have put on a wetsuit once, which is surprising considering I've been off work. Over it.
