fair surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

I had one little sea lion haul ass right past me, like it was trying to escape from something, I hate when that happens. I also saw a huge Dungeness crab crawling on the inside. Speaking of crabs, those buoys from last year have grown a layer of brown algae, and now look like giant turds.

@drei were you on the end with the imported sand? I saw something pretty... weird... there this morning that kinda sketched me out. Lots of movement, splashing, and a glimpse of a color I haven't seen in the ocean before. Decided to call it a day.

Of course, my leash bumped into my foot the other day and I almost warmed up my wetsuit before I figured out what was what. So. Grain of salt and all that.

I was near the middle. There were a couple of really big sea lions fishing with the dolphins, both the sea lions and dolphins were making massive splashes. There were gray seals too, birds above, and who knows what else down below. Wilderness at OB.

Lots of wildlife this am for sure. I saw some dolphins and a sea lion fully breach less than 30 feet away. I was more worried about a collision with one of those guys than anything more sinister...

Somewhere north of ob there were more dolphins and seals than waves. Not necessarily a bad thing tho'
