alright, since no one has done it, I'll do it. Pretty much sick out there. 4-6, a few overhead nugs. Fast, peaky, L's and R's. If you hit it, you know. Probably the best day yet. The real question is : "at what point do you call it quits?" Answer: when you know your girlfriend is blowin' up your cell phone with texts, "you better not be surfin' and better be handlin' all the shit i told you to do today!"

Pretty much sick out there... lets not start the season off like this. its like giving 10's in the first round. today had periods of super glass with some light bump. wind seems to be picking up as of now. its about shoulder to head high and typically frustrating south swell peaks that look much better than they ride. it was fun, before everyone and their cousin paddled out. but fun is about as good as you can call it. at least you toned it down towards the end.
and no the line up does not need anybody else. its full.

I'd go fair on this evening. The slight bump and thick fog made for a pretty empty lineup where I was. Shoulder to head with a lot of soft serve drop and stops, but a few lined up nicely through to the inside. No complaints.

all the peeling lefts you could ask for in the fog. chillin dropknee session on my 43" foam board with no skegs. saw a couple sticks gettin some fun ones as well.

@shredlife. I actually saw the real deal of the pic you posted. Full on dolphin breach, completely out of the water. Very cool. The surf sesh was mixed for me. Tough shorebreak, small though it was, and heavy crowds. But the weather and vibe were pleasant. Decent, I would say.

I'm with Overit on this one, surfed from 5:30 to 7:00 and it was dumpy. The shape was bad and the crowd was thicker then the fog. I originally paddle out away from the crowded with the hopes of finding my own peak but nothing was really working so I relented and joined the log jam.

i would give yesterday afternoon a fair rating. some nice ones for sure, but the majority of waves were on the weaker side, and sloughing off early. did not justify the crowds that gathered, but can't ever blame people for wanting to be in the water. have a bad feeling this weekend is going to be packed. only hope we get a swell like monday to thin things out.

just to chime back in, I gave it a Good Minus. I've been having internal struggles with that rating since. Yet from 11am -3pm, it was pretty fun. i called it pretty much sick, yet never said it was firing, epic, or all time. rather, probably the "best day yet" of this season. merely for the reasoning that it was clean, lined up, glassy, with crossed-up, bowly peaks. and during those hours, the tide was going low, and sucking up some hollows. and yeah, it progressively got more crowded. but that window was pretty freakin fun.
and again, i hope those out, got their Stoke. btw, I rarely call it Good. Not quite sure i ever have before.
