great surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Definitely some great waves today. Unfortunately, I seemed to be in the wrong place often and battling the current most of my session....but damn the conditions were nice!

I don't know about epic, but it was damn fun out there this morning. Caught it at first light...absolutely beautiful! Sun was out, all kinds of cool colors in the sky, ocean was clean with light offshores. Rights...lefts...barrels...STOKED! There was a longboarder sitting deep hogging up the bigger sets. Looked like he was having fun, but dude definitely had some issues, e.g., talking to himself, giving waves the middle finger when they were out of his reach, wild kick-outs with reckless board control. Hilarious to watch...from a safe distance.

Lol sounds like angry guy a few years ago. I think he's reformed quite a bit. Let me expound upon my sesh. Awesome. Saw a dude get spiked, then another dude get dropped in on, only to finish up and let the offender through, and then I quickly got dropped in on when I was late, deep, and steep. Aside from those donkeeyisms, conditions were pretty rad. Have fun, be safe.

Not epic, but definitely lots of fun. Minimal crowding for a warm and windless bluebird Saturday. Sufficiently satisfied. Arms melty.

surfed 10x in 2 weeks. pretty burnt. more fun this morning. crowds were intense. some stick barked at me after I accidentally burned him. I told him to f&*( off. Im usually the first to apologize, but if you bring attitude before I even get a chance, then you get nothing.

@puukumala- if you ever see a shortboarder out there talking to himself, that's me :) however, i don't flip the bird to the waves.

Beautiful day and nice waves but got there at 9:00 and things were just changing to something a little less organized. I too seemed to constantly be in the wrong place at the right time. Missed more waves than I can count. 4 hours of constant paddling. Oh well, some days it just works out that way.

Afternoon between 2 and 4 was solid good plus. Head high and not crowded if you paddled out away from the bus line. Probably the most waves I have caught in one session at ob. Stoked!!!!

so you told some guy to fuck off after he yelled at you for burning him. we are supposed to wait and see if you feel like apologizing for burning us? you already have a point against your just for showing up with your boogie board. and then you burn a guy and get upset he didn't let you say "sorry bro i didnt think you'd make it" or some other lame excuse. i don't want your apology, i want you to beat it and take your kook sponge somewhere else. really, do you not see how lame your post was? sorry if i seem a big agitated tonight its just the crowd situation out there this week is getting really old.

The crowds were down today for me. Afternoon was a paddle battle, so I can see how the fairweathers couldn't make it.

Fun waves in the morning! Snapped my leash on my longboard and some short board dude totally grabbed my board before it hit some rocks. Super awesome! Thanks bro!

650, from experience, it's best to not start off with calling people out on the 'Net. Take it from me, I know from personal experience and learned the hard way. You got issues with anyone, you deal with it in the lot, or out there in the water, immediately. You don't come here and crow and craw. Also, for both of you and anyone else out there willing to listen/read this shit, listen up: With more than one guy out there, entropy rules. That means anything can happen. Some guys will stuff you, on purpose or not. You also will be susceptible to shrapnel from others. Sometimes other people's actions combined with a sorry may not cut it, especially if you get spiked or get rammed into tomorrow. All that shit's happened to me personally, and while I believe we have to stick up for ourselves, and call out what transgressions may have occurred, the best thing one can do is let it go. You're out there with N+1 people, and as I mentioned, the only outcome we should really expect is chaos. If you expect order, then you're over expecting good results. When you get order, good, you got it, but when you don't, don't be surprised.
Holding onto the burn doesn't do jack shit for anyone. I know who you are boogie, I see you out there all the time, taking monster drops on the most solid of solid days, like a man, even if you are prone :) So I'd ask you to listen and let me project a bit of my philosophy on you, and man up just a bit more out of the water, and walk away, and surf another day knowing that bad shit may happen, and that there's nothing you can do about it. It's just the way it works. The best thing you can do is recognize things you can get yourself out of, or prevent from happening and adjust accordingly. Chaos and entropy rule out there. Don't fight it, and don't like it, but embrace it and let it go.

Have to say I agree with overit...at least with his speil about dropping-in. Overit3 just didn't do himself any favors by getting off message with crowd whinning and a booger's right to exist. But as for 650?...your use of the word, "burn", is unfortunate because it implies, to this surfer anyway, that your action was intentional, and regardless that it is prefaced with "accidental". Yeh, the guy probably 'went off' too quickly...still, you should have just been contrite! You must be feeling some sort of guilt for this, to be able to come here on the internet and confess this event...for you to then say, "fu, you get nothing", well it has the whiff of wrong-headed self justification for your action...for whatever that's worth.

Im not calling anybody out. Im saying if you have issues with me, bring it up with me in person instead of anonymously on a keyboard. But thanks for the lecture. People think they can disrespect me because I ride a boogieboard. I have to prove them wrong. Story of my surfing life.

as for the surfer I accidentally burned, my first awareness that he was even on that wave, was him shouting profanity at me. Im not going to be contrite when you approach me like that. Never. If he would have hooted or whistled or done any number of things that surfers normally do when somebody is unaware that a wave is taken, I would immediately pull out and apologize. But if you wanna go straight to insults, I will return them in kind, and we can take it as far as you want to go. Maybe Im a little crazy, self destructive, ate too much acid in highschool, who knows...

Im not sure one could ever have eaten "too much" acid. Especially considering the product out there now.

Im actually a very mellow dude. I just have a knee jerk response when it comes to any perceived bullies. But in general, I try to be chill.

I just dont have the energy for this right now. Lighten up about the sponger jans, that part is all in good fun. But now i need to nicely call you off my wave. Wow you really are a kook. And what you wanna fight me on the beach or something? I reaaly need to find another way to waste my time.
