good surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Thursday 9am - San Francisco - Ocean Beach, good surfing

I had high expectations for SFOB this morn, & they were met. Glassy, peeling, HH peaks beggin' to be charged despite the tide. No wind or really light south/south-offshore. Great group of SR'ers out there, too. Stoked.

nice meeting folks today. waves were improving as i left at 9:30-ish. i had serious wave envy as @consciouspilot caught a beautiful HH left near the end of his session. had a ton of fun waves though. looking forward to tomorrow...

The tide is starting to drop and the inside bar is starting to wall up a little. I'd say it's getting better than what I saw on the cam when I woke up. Wind is still light and offshore. Water's warm. Sun's out. Still requires luck and patience which I must have left at home this morning (along with my booties).

Nice to see everyone this morning! Beautiful morning sun, waves were really cleaning up as I was packing it up. Very jealous of some of the great rides I saw. Thanks a million @H20MansLibrary for the booties. Veronica stayed toasty warm.

Yea! Surf day! Surfed north of Santa Cruz this morning and got a bunch of good waves. First time surfing in a while that wasn't death defying, it felt good to wrap a few cuttys all the way around and blast a few clean offshore lips. Wham off the crispies!!! Woohoo

surf. so. good. can't. handle.

Was awesome out there this morning, way better than it looked and it looked pretty damn decent. The B in OB is for barrel. Saw guys getting _epic_ rides all over the place.

Stoked out of my mind.

To paraphrase Tracy Morgan on 30 Rock: "I want to take OB out behind the middle school and get her pregnant." Assuming she's willing of course. :)

great morning - beautiful weather, no wind, lots of Stokers mid-OB (is that defined as giving up a "secret spot," @mahu?) Nice to see/meet you, @sticker, @tracey, Veronica, @cryptomail, @h20manslibrary. Some great head high lefts and rights, even though the super high tide should have mushed it up.

My first trip to OB, I came, I paddled, I made it to the line up, I caught a whitewater reform on the way into take a 8am conference call. Will do it again with more time. Great seeing everyone in the water.

Sorry guys, not claiming "secret spots" or anything. It just shits me that people post real time reports of exact locations. That's all. It is poor etiquette. There are many unwritten rules to surfing, and I think real time reports of locations in a public forum is weak. Call a friend if you want company. To post reports before you paddle out for the world to see is idiotic.
I am glad you got some waves. I am working.
Why do you all use the @ symbol anyway?
