Played around in the "groin" and got sent into the channel; tried my hand at the "patch" and spent most of my time catching short rides on the inside before a lull finally came and I made it out. All that energy from this monster swell has been making it break everywhere at once, and fast. Not too big, though. Lotta first-timers, couples, and groms.
