Chest to Waist high, little mushy but I got a few fun rides. Should get better when the tide drops this pm. First dawn patrol video report, what do you think?

Had a lot of fun from 7-8:15 this morning. Only got a couple rides but I had low expectations driving down from the city and checking out the spots along the way. HMB was the cleanest that I saw. Hit it right on time I think as about when I left the tide had gotten to be a little too high. Pleasant surprise and a good way to start out the week.

The video is a nice bonus for sure but 40 seconds doesn't tell you too much of course. Kinda like Surfline or just driving by. Sometimes you see something, sometimes not even though there may be waves to be had for the patient.

The trouble I always have with video is I can't really see what's going on. I can see closeout vs peeling, but I can't tell DOH from ankle high. Still, video is always appreciated. Even when I can't get out, it's nice to know the waves are still there.
Hi waves! I miss you!

Heh I could not see the person taking off. But you did say how high it was, so that helped. Some of them I see folks say "yeah it's rideable" and nothing about height. All I see is blurry greyness. Maybe my youtube needs glasses.

The problem with the video is that it was shot on a device which supports Flash, whose evil energy creeped over from the web browser into the camera application and tainted the captured image, rendering the surf conditions looking less optimal than they were in actuality.

Only in the SF bay area would a surf report turn into an Adobe and Apple bashing session.

Dang, now I'm tempted to spend the afternoon making stokereport merit badges instead of working. Must exercise self control.
