Happy Friday. Conditions are looking much better than they've been for a while. We have an offshore wind and waves in the HH+ range. It's a little low-period / sectiony but fairly well organized with some regular nice fast shoulders for the taking. Have fun.
felt more challenging in the water than it looked suitin up. super nice sunrise this morning too :)
paddled out at ######....twice. first time didn't get past the inner bar after a solid 20 minutes. second time made it out in about 10 minutes. outer bar was well overhead and firing top to bottom. really fun waves. drifted from ###### to the ######. ###### is much larger and more fun than the north. if you can get out through the inner bar, i'd say go to the ######.
Sometimes, my tweets don't go through: Brutal paddle through the heavies of SFOB's inner bar but some 1.5x+ glassy hollow rewards await on the outside.
Was w/@H2O... had a good 30 minute treadmill paddle before getting out & walking up the beach & making it out. Beautiful waves on the outside. Not real lined up, but nice for those in the right position.
Always a trip to check out what Mo' Nature is doing to OB. The sand cliffs created at ###### are impressive.
It depends when and where you paddled out. At 8am or so some 6 or 7@20 sec. started showing up. The paddle around N street to K Street looked ridiculously long where you seemed to need a big board to get to that outer bar but some amazing waves out there.
I am sick and have no energy to do the paddle battle. :(
