poor surfing conditions at San Mateo - Linda Mar

6 weeks!? Get thee to Santa Cruz.

Paddled out at Lindy with @crypto and @sticker. The paddle was a 20 minute unpleasant beating followed by an hour of surprisingly fun surfing even though the waves sucked. Caught plenty of 2 and 3 turn lefts and occasionally hucked myself over the falls into oblivion. By yourself, you'd be hating life. But with two other guys, the session transforms into a great start to the day. Go figure. Best part of the session were the two guys who saw us out there and decided they should paddle out too. Hilarious. It's like seeing someone getting dental surgery and thinking, "Yeah, I want some of that!!"

Yeah, the best part about it was slipping through the cracks to the outside before @crypto & @h2o & picking up a few waves while they struggled on the inside.

Of course, karma is a bitch, and I ultimately took a wave to the inside & dismounted next to them only to watch them slip through the cracks while I struggled on the inside.

Waves were *kiting*, and then it started pissing rain for good measure. Good times.
