Another successful run down to Santa Cruz for some sweet long rides. Got in the water at 1pm, got out at 4 after getting so many long rights we packed it in and scored some great burgers at the new betty burger on 41st. Conditons were very clean with a side shore wind that kept pushing us off position. Found a use for the kelp in the line up. It was simply paddle in to position then hang on to some kelp to keep from being blown down range. Chest to Shoulder High with some head high sets but breaking and peeling so nice that the ride would be something you wouldn't quickly forget.

I reached a settlement with the sea otters. It came down to the definition of 'hands'.

you can also eat the kelp if your hungry or thirsty....tastes kind of like pee-y mucus when it's masticated tho... (a la @cyclona23)

It also performs hydrolysis to fill those little floating pouches with hydrogen, allowing it to float around in the sea.
<3 kelp, except when it is abruptly stopping my board on a wave. Oww.
