Friday 12pm - Santa Cruz - Steamer Lane, fair surfing
Indicators: WH-HH | light breeze | fun clean wave | plenty of surf to go around | watch out for surf school inside at Cowell's which was smaller and more crowded but ridable.
Fun wave before the rising tide swamped us out. Caught a few classic waist high rollers from the stairway to the beach. Guy in the super man wetsuit was surfing beautifully, really a pleasure to watch. Good vibe in the water.
To quote the man, the myth, the legend, Ice Cube, "Westside!"
Outside at the lane, the slot was going off but the crowd looked deep.
