I don't mean to be rude or express any sense of entitlement.
I'm by no means a 'local' but i enjoy surfing immensely and have been surfing most my life.
I prefer surfing when it's not too crowded.
I kindly request that you stop reporting on crowd-sensitive surf spots, including this one.
I surfed with you at this spot saturday (april 3) and friday (april 2).
I was the only non-stoke-reporter out friday morning.
The other three people in the lineup were all from stoke-report.
You mentioned to me "I can't believe it's this crowded" on saturday morning as i paddled by.
You then proceeded to pen this report.
You're the guy who drops into waves prone, on your belly, then shuffles slowly to your knees, then to your feet in the whitewater after the drop.
I think you have an "S" on the tip of your board.
It's great that you're enthusiastic about surfing!
It's also fine to be a beginner.
It's also ok to surf wherever and whenever you want.
But I think i speak for most seasoned surfers when i ask that you please respect standard surfing etiquette and don't report on sensitive spots on the internet.
The folks on the surfermag bb, on niceness and on countless other online surf communities manage to maintain vagueness when talking/sharing/enjoying session descriptions.
I think stoke-reporters can inculcate this attitude as well.
To the enjoyment and stoke of all.
Thanks for reading.

Well I for one appreciate the tone of your post aardvark.
I'm not at all sure I agree that posting here is the problem...
But I gotta say yours is one of the better "calling the question" posts I've seen.
I also gotta say that I really respect that you've given enough info for the original poster to chat with you directly about your thoughts (assuming he remembers you) on the matter which in my book is the way it ought to be.
I will ponder your central point (not for the first time) for no other reason than I respect the way in which you have raised it
peaceout
hey aardvark. Taken to heart. I liked your tone out there, and I respect you.
(Any guy who paddles into as many waves as you deserves it, since it was kinda pitching that day :) ).
I also liked that you were #1 out there, really getting after it.
Was a good morning that morning with you, and I think you got a few before work, thus meeting your mentioned goals.
See ya out there, (quietly :) )

I think the fact that everyone voted up Aardvark's post speaks volumes to how we respond to what may be an unpopular opinion when it's not draped in judgment and condescension.
Welcome to StokeReport, Aardvark. :)
