Fun. There's some size but it's really soft. There's a strong current pushing everyone towards Cowells. The current kept the crowd scattered and all in all there were more waves than people so there was no vibe. Friendly smiles, even. Sunshine and warm water. Hard to argue.
please stop posting about Secret Spots like Steamers Lane. Other stokereporter lurkers will see it, break away from work to go out and ruin the lineup!

Finally getting back from the East Coast, have been thinking about SL the whole time.

Amusingly, the lineup did have a quick glut of people as everyone skipped lunch for a surf. From 12:00 to 1:00 the crowd doubled and then disappeared. Wish I had a break I could hit for a lunch hour. The closest spot I've got is McCovey Cove, which really needs an epic swell to fire up.
And I mean *epic*.
