Hey Greg, you should give it a go at Bolinas. We were just sitting around at the Coast Cafe last night after a fun session discussing how one of the best qualities of Bolinas is how inclusive the surf can be. Basically you can take your bro out... he can paddle out easily, not get discouraged, and you can catch waves between pointers.

yep, that was me in the blue swim cap shivering by the docks. I gave all my finer gear to my brother to keep him warm and happy...he got one little whitewater ride on his belly, and seemed pretty happy with that, but yea, it was a far cry from how it should be. (My first time surfing was just meh...my second time was epic: a mix of terror, adrenaline, humbling awe of Her power, and a glimpse that there was true character behind the waves. And one stunning belly-ride to top it off. Thats the way i wanted it to be, but alas, this morning LM was behaving like some sloppy, still-drunk crackwhore stepsister of that fine lady that met me on my first real morning surf.
Yea, i guess maybe i'll wait until the water warms up or something, and rent him a longboard and try again, or head to bolinas, as suggested, or the jetty or something....next time.
