fair surfing conditions at Santa Cruz - Steamer Lane

Thursday 5pm - Santa Cruz - Steamer Lane, fair surfing

Southwest swell had Steamer breaking mostly at Middle Peak. A-frames there w/ long-ish rides going right and a much shorter left. Sets were head and a half high, medium sized crowd. Indicators was breaking too, but most of the action was at Middle Peak. The weekday crowd seems much more mellow. Not as many agro shredders as on the weekend.

I got it from noon to 2pm. Saw some big-looking, disorganized surf at other spots (Montara, Pigeon Point) on the drive down.

I was watching the cam all day... wishing I was there. It looked really appealing to me.
BTW I think it's mostly WNW wind swell that made Middle Peak break. SW'ers break more towards the slot... and the east side...

Was a good time indeed. I hit it in the morning, and then after lunch at 3.

haha, the fact that I have that Waimea stance is making the rounds...I guess guilty as charged!!! I'm still new to surfing so let's just say that the drops out there....are still exhilarating and I need to make sure I don't eat shit haha, which I *DID* on a few :)
So the pretend 4x stance helps hahahahah rad!
