fair surfing conditions at Marin - Bolinas

Friday 10am - Marin - Bolinas, fair surfing

This morning's very low tide revealed most of the rocks in 'the patch'. Outside the big rock, there were some fun waist-high peelers rolling over murky, VERY cold water. Sheesh that was cold. Some fun, long rides making section after section.

The breeze was offshore and pretty stiff. Probably held up the faces a bit. Definitely required some extra oomph to get into the wave.

Great vibe in the water as usual. Lots of smiles. Another beautiful morning in West Marin!

Glad to hear someone scored today. You bring the waves, I bring the oomph. Let's make this happen!

@Wave Glider- if the wind dies down the sun may help it all work out. Will the tide cooperate? Bring your gear.

@tehdely- w00t!

It was indeed chilly. Chris tore it up, snagging more rides than even the kayaker. Waves took some serious paddle to get on, and I occasionally had trouble dropping due to wind, but man, I got one ride that linked up all the way for FAR FAR outside to the shorebreak. Very happy.

Feeling returned to my hands and feet about an hour ago. Brrrrr.

Was out from 6:45 to 8:15 or so this morning with the Dean of Neoprene. Ice Cube City in the water, but always nice folks at the Bolinas break who are super warm and friendly....made my day more than knee slappers scurrying towards shore.

Got out to the Bo and about 1 P.M. just as the wind began to chop things up. There were however some decent 2 to 4 footers coming through on occasion at the channel/Groin. Walked down to the Patch, and pretty much the same thing, wind, chop, and some decent sets rolling through. Didn't go out, but spent the afternoon getting some pics.

Would be nice to know who's who from SR(this site) to say hi. If anyone was out there today while I was, I was the only one with a camera with a long telephoto lens and mono pod shooting pics.

That SUP'r was getting some great rides at the Patch.

Nice pics! Still looks pretty murky & windy out there.

Yeah, is the sup trying to do a fakie or is that a special tail-out-of-the-water stall?
