poor surfing conditions at San Mateo - Linda Mar

Tuesday 6am - San Mateo - Linda Mar, poor surfing

I wish I could report that it was head-high, glassy, and clean as I gaze toward the sea right now; it certainly was, in my head, as I drove down here. But, alas, its just me, sipping on coffee, waiting in the lot, assessing the mess along w a few others, hoping for a good reason to suit up. If you're looking for an epic session, then smoke a J, head back to bed, and dream up something nice....
In my eternal (or perhaps infernal) optimism, though, I may just paddle out anyway.

What do you think, swell too high? Trying to figure our LM myself after the last two weeks of close out mess.

@David, how'd it work out?

@Boston, maybe a little too much oomph from the northwest? Sometimes the direction drives the closeouts (sometimes the tide adds to it too). Worth putting in the time to see it in all conditions though.

Thanks for asking @greacen; I caught a few in the south corner, just enough to make me feel like I actually went surfing (rather than just having an uninterrupted "chop-paddling" session); but, yesterday's conditions squashed the temptation of any kinda early wakeup today....
