Nah. Whether it was the south wind or some other oceanic juju, I don't know but it was a mess. Paddled over to seadrift chasing some phantom wave: junk. Paddled back over to groin and caught a few bumpy, sectiony rides. Showed promise when the wind dipped.

I hit it right after you. It was pretty mush/crumble with not much energy, but I got to break in the new stick, which made it all the more worthwhile.
Then I witnessed a shark tearing a sea lion to bits in the spot where I'd been surfing. Good times!

The awesometastic board is predictably awesometastic :) Definitely needs a little more power to get going though. I think it demands a slightly higher quality of wave. Or bicep.
