great surfing conditions at San Mateo - Linda Mar

Tuesday 3pm - San Mateo - Linda Mar, great surfing

Linda Mar was fantastic today...if you don't mind surfing in the rain.

Offshore winds, glassy surface, clean waves. It would have been one of rare great days at Linda Mar, were it not for the droplets of fresh water falling down on the head. I don't surf in the rain, so I didn't go in. There were plenty of bodies out there though.

I can understand not surfing in the rain at Linda Mar. It seems like the slightest bit of precipitation causes a brown sneeze from the shitpipes there.

SMC has wisely done the math and decided it's cheaper to pay the occasional fine than to actually build adequate sewage treatment.

I like catching the beginning of a rainstorm. Usually scares the crowd away. I think the land-boogies don't show up right away at least.

I don't surf in the rain either, coz I hate getting my hair wet.

It was a blast from 11 - 12:30 today and the rain did not really start till about 12ish...
the funny part was the occasional random sneaker that turned the lineup into a yard sale
Hilarious

Personally speaking salt water and fresh water feel like two completely different liquids to my skin. Plus I prefer dry conditions when changing out of the wetsuit after a sesh. Whatever floats your boat.
