surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Really? Looks smooth on the cam....unfortunately can't get out till noon-ish. I hope it holds!

my 6am session was far < epic. nothing like yesterday.

From the beach it looked steep and hollow. I saw some guys pull into some sick punishments, and there certainly were waves spitting left and right.
I think I saw a few gals out there too. I had my doggie out there this morning, but this afternoon I'll get some.

wow, must have been in the wrong spot, 'cause I would rate it as epic fail. Strange chaotic cross currents tons of bump on the face... glad you got some.

Jessie, it sounds like you were surfing where i was :) I got a beating but not much more.

i was out where sticker was too, it really cleaned up and became magical, and you forgot to mention the frolicking dolphin pod!

Sounds like sticker scored.
I surfed 7:30 - 8:45 in the middle/south and it was head-high, thick and warbled/funky.
Kinda smooth but the currents were pulling and tearing at the surface.
Definitely far from epic but better than average.
Took me nearly 25 minutes to lock into a ride... but then caught 5 or 6 in the next bit of time.
Saw some genius sections but difficult to get into position.

I surfed down in HMB at one of the local beach breaks, and while not quite to the level of Sticker's post, it was good. I scored 2 OH waves before work so I was stoked out of my Gourd as well.

I have almost convinced myself that the winds are going to stay mild enough to allow for a sunset session to take me into the weekend -- in case you were curious, no my supers powers of self convincing are not enough to make me believe that I will actually be able to see the sunset through this pea soup
