The (2 mile surfshop) Bolinas report this morning read -
"The patch has ankle high sets rolling through." Can you call something ankle high a "set"? And does it "roll"??

Surfline report for 11am was 3 - 4 ft with the swell 2 ft @ 14s from SSW (210). 2 Mile will always say there is some kind of surf out there to get the business, and lessons for beginners. Quite frankly, this has been a very dismal Spring season, and the Summer's not looking too promising yet. Bring it on Hurricanes out of the south. And please hurry!
I'd call them featherers. :D
Don't forget that this Sunday the 20TH is International Surfing Day. Go to your favorite beach and help clean up before or after a session and have a great day, waves or not.

You'd be surprised what you can surf with a long enough board and strong enough patience. I've caught ankle high waves at Bo before. You spend most of the wave shaking your head and laughing, then seeing how long of a ride you can get out of the little roller. It's more fun than you'd think.
Knee high waves have supposedly been coming through on and off on the ###### of Lake Michigan. Sadly so has the sewage overflow. All beaches are posted. No surfing while I'm home.

Heh tehdely, it took my a while to remember what Deep Tunnel was. For those not deliciously corn fed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunnel_and_Reservoir_Plan
It's Michigan City's sewage this time, so at least it's Hoosier poo?
