Very similar conditions to yesterday morning. The swell had come up a tiny but but we're still looking at light winds and clean surf in the knee to waist high range. It's weak and crumbly but nice conditions for very, very mellow long boarding. Fair-

surf is still very small - waist high on the set waves, and quite crumbly. Rising tide pretty much swamped out my ###### peak by 1000.
On a side note, I am 51% sure I saw a "not a dolphin." I hesitate to say it was a shark because I only caught a fleeting glimpse of a silhouette in a wave. Whatever it was, it was big (at least grown man sized), it did not come up for air while I was watching, and I think the tail went side-to-side. Also, when I saw it, I immediately got the fight/flight feeling and I have not gotten that from a dolphin in a the last three-four years.

Hey, don't take those stripers lightly. I had one size up my calf last week. Looked right at it like a tasty pork rib from Memphis Minnie's. Thankfully, my wild frightful thrashing at the sight of him scared him away.

I wonder if Ton Kiang could braise that bad boy up for me with soy sauce, garlic and scallions... (the "bass", not your calf)

See that is the problem when waves are really small. This weird shark-looking fish comes closer to shore. He just wants to look at the weird calamari in the black rubber suits that taste like tires. Man I wish they would be like fish and swim in the buff.
I think I have seen this same "fish." Did it look like it had been in a brawl... sort of scratched up?
