poor surfing conditions at San Mateo - Linda Mar

I was hoping that today would look better. I felt the same way taking a long look last night around 5. I was (somewhat) surprised that people kept showing up and heading in. I hung around for quite awhile just to see if I was missing something. In 30 minutes I saw maybe 2 actual rides and the rest just drops to closeouts. Cold, windy,... ugh. I'm not quite that desperate just yet.

you should of gone in, i surfed it 530-7pm and had a surprising amount of fun towards the middle/######. patience was key though and it was indeed cold.

I guess so but I always find it hard to go out in poor conditions right after having fun in Santa Cruz the previous session.

Totally. Have a hard time after surf trip of any kind. Reminds me of how fun surfing reaaaally is.
It all comes together in september/October though. So looking forward to the glassy OB days.... man it's like a fading memory at this point.

Is it like knee high out there? Looking at the forecasts I see nothing of interest. :'-(

The photo isn't accurate to our current conditions because it shows both sun & clean waves. I'd take that over what we currently have. Can someone Photoshop the picture to show that senorita riding some drizzly, sloppy, knee-high closeouts? Maybe with the fabled Bolinas Dolphark (or is that Sharphin?) breaching the water just behind her.
