fair surfing conditions at San Francisco - Ocean Beach

Tuesday 6am - San Francisco - Ocean Beach, fair surfing

It's an amazing morning at sfob with clear skies, no wind to speak of and a light mist hanging over the ocean. The air is warm and there is a full moon about to dive into the pacific. There isn't much sign of the ssw groundswell and we have mostly windswell from the west. Waves are in the chest high range and fairly weak but all things considered it's a great morning to be a bay area surfer.

Looks like it could be another double sesh day to bookend the job.

Definately not like yesterday. Smaller and broken up windswell. Light wind and warm water though. Fair-

my sesh was more like fair+. intermittent but fun on the best sets with some opportunity to tuck into hollow sections.

had some fun ones but yesterday had a bit more punch. who can argue though when you're paddling out in warm weather as the moon sets over your favorite break.

Totally sweet morning. Waves weren't the most consistent, but some quick rides were had. Fantastic start to the day!

Thanks for the pic H20Man, I missed out on the moonset this morning.

Looked smaller at dawnthan yesterday so I lounged and eventually brought out my 8'0. Got one long wave, ran home, grabbed my shorty and proceeded to score head high hollow waves with a couple barrel exits. That was a solid good for me! I am beaming right now...

There are some steep ones at a certain part of the beach. The rest of the beach is good solid fun, too. Helluva rip, though. Loooong walk back to the car. A very smiley walk. But, long walk nonetheless.

My morning sessions was not epic but damn nice. Lots of waves, slightly inconsistent. Very high wave count but a bit out of shape :-)

Best waves were a right time / right place affair but I had an awesome time and left smiling... ready for tomorrow morning :-)
