fair surfing conditions at San Mateo - Linda Mar

Yup, got to watch a nice looooong sunset and catch a few waves. Wave quality was better in the am but I'm more than happy to doublestack my stoke. Some rare chest high waves, mostly waist highish with liberal doses of closeout. Saw both greacen and chezwhitey get some nice rights. Crowd was crowded, but mostly friendly. Saw a few faces from this morning out there. :D

Agreed. Plenty of warbly waist to bellybutton high rights and lefts, many of which lasted to the beach. So sunny and warm that the beach was crowded with spectators... (was today Tuesday? Really?). Why so many closeouts on the bigger ones? Don't know. Lots of fun, just not quite hitting the sandbars perfectly. No compaints (except for those two, I suppose) because my wave count was satisfyingly high and pretty fun... not a lot of sitting around. Lotsa smiles. Went bootie-less for the first time in a LONG time - cause for celebration right there.
