I surfed 1-3. Nice conditions today. Offshore winds and overhead swell. Plenty of paddle required but well worth the effort. Getting over a cold convinced me to go with more board. Bueno.
I hear you. I went out at the bigger part of the beach on my fish this a.m. While I did catch some fun ones, I wish I'd had something bigger.
Floaty fish was a good call for mine own part. For me, it was definitely psycho out there though...some lippy bombs and then hushed and plush softies. Go figure! I couldn't figure it out but did OK none the less. So my assessment that a tad underfoamed may have been OK, because if you had the mustard some of them lips were pretty steep and DEF not longboardable. (And by DEF I mean not by me :) )
