On the verge of even calling it good! That was the most fun I've had in a while at LM. Surprisingly, the dropping tide didn't shut it down as much as I thought it would. Caught several fun lefts just north of chalupaville and enjoyed the sunshine.

Jumped in by the twin kook pipes this afternoon and boy did it feel good to get wet again. Some fun corners to be had in the right spot at the right time. The last round of storms seem to have dredged the hell out of the beach. There were a lot more rocks and there was a huge exposed pipe on the Mexico end that I've never seen before - surrounded by mud slicks where there used to be a lot of sand.

Surfer's Beach Sewage Spill Update?

Anyone hear of the latest test results since Wednesday's spill at the Jetty? Has the beach been posted with signs? I'd rather not find out the hard way - but I'm jonesin' for a fix.

Was 1.5x overhead on the max sets at the spot near the bowling alley at 4pm. Saw 3 guys ripping it up on the Mexico end of the beach. Looked like fun, but I brought my dog instead of my board and regretfully forgot to bring the camera.

Dare I say good? Maybe I've been spending too much time at Linda Mar since I moved out of the city! Days like these are why I used to love living in the aves. It was small, but clean with mellow peaks galore until the tide bottomed out. Another classic fall day.

Well, I saw the 10am report and thought it would be fun... It wasn't!! I guess the dropping tide must have drained it all out. Small, dumpy/bumpy close-outs from the middle on down - and the typical bad day washing machine on the big end. At least it's nice and sunny.

Bumpy, disorganized wind swell at the small end. Bigger, whomping close-outs further up the beach. D+ for surf, but a solid A for the weather.

Wow, what a difference a day makes. Just when I thought I was spoiled to ruin lately by my old love Santa Cruz, Lindy had some nice semi-clean lines and organized surf with a bit more oomph from 2:30-4:30 today near El Pumpo. Quite a contrast from the gutless wind-swell jumble that came along with ridiculous crowds yesterday. We're finally on the verge!

Like Lake Tahoe before a thunderstorm, except that T-storm never comes and the wind never shifts. It was blasting directly from Montara Mountain to the shore with light wind chop... and yet with that offshore wind, it was mushy and shore-breaky. The high tide was swamping what little swell there was. After paddling incessantly to maintain position, (everyone was a human sail with the wind) I got my 3 meager rides and called it a day. And all of this on the "big" end... Go figure! Beautiful, funky & unusual weather nonetheless.
