Not to be a hater, but I'm not a fan of the new layout. I gave it some time...and hoped I'd get used to it, but not really feeling the row of pictures above all the posts. There's too much going on there, and I just skip past them and scroll down to the posts.

Surfed the smaller end of the beach today from 11-1.30. It was a wave factor for the first hour and a half. The lineup was crowded, but it didn't matter. Wave after wave after wave. Super fun OH++ with the occasional DOH. I am exhausted an happy.

surfed from 7.30-10. was good for the first hour and got some super fun rights...then the swell filled in...and I found myself totally under-gunned. Was a bit messy and unorganized when I left...and didn't see many guys getting much.

From 2-4 today OB delivered for this old man. I thought it was going to be too high tidey...but it was glassy, clean and random walled up lefts would come thru every once in a while. A bit of waiting in between sets, but when it's 75 degrees out and the ocean is smooth as silk...who cares. My cheeks were visiting my ears the entire session.

Surfed OB from 3:30 - 5:45. Super clean and fun. Tide was a little wonky, but there were fun ones coming thru every now and then and guys were getting great rides (even me on occasion). Current was surprisingly strong and my arms are officially dead.

Paddled out at linda mar today at 530. The wind was howlimg. There seemed to be some energy in the water but the wind made it miserable. One guy got a nice long right that made me jealous. I got many mushburgers. If I actually looked at the water before I suited up I would not have gotten in....but when I am desperate to get wet I have a rule: don't look, just suit up and go. Plus I need to get back in paddle shape for nicaragua...

got up early this morning hoping for some of the goodness that you guys got yesterday only to be foiled by the fog...from what i could see of ob at 6:45 it looked messy. I drove to LM and it was clean. 95% of the larger sets were closing out...which is typical...although there were enough people in the water so that some guys were in the right spot at the right time when a decent wave with some shape and a workable shoulder came thru. I was even one of those guys on exactly one wave. I also had fun taking the drop on about 8 head high closeouts.

Had a fun, quick session at OB from 11:30 -Noon30. My arms were jelly after the paddle out...and I'm not sure if it was because the paddle out was difficult...or I'm in such lousy shape. There were several fun clean peaky waves...and I got one nice long left. Still some funk in the water...but I was surprised at what was coming through...

Surfed OB (######) from 10-12. Tide was a bit high and waves were inconsistent and a bit flat, but enough guys were out that everywhere I looked up and down the beach guys were getting rides. Occasionally some of them looked long and fun. Water was cold...and after two hours I was numb. Good to get back in the water after a long hiatus, but humbled by my lack of paddle strength and agility. I saw one guy body surfing, I'm guessing he's the StokeReporter...who always body surfs???

Surfed the ###### from 1.30-3.00. It was smooth...but the tide was off and all the waves seemed to totally back off. I did get lucky a few times...and when I caught one all the way to the beach, I called it quits. Was happy to actually get in the water after a few weeks away...but am hoping tomorrow is better.

Surfed the ###### and gotta admit was not feeling that comfortable out there. Waves seemed to jack straight up and close right out. A few corners to be had here and there but although the set waves on occasion were beautiful to watch nobody was on them and I was keeping my distance on purpose. Humbled today, I left the beach with my tail between my legs and not a ride.

Surfed the ###### from 7.30 to 9.15. Got a few waves, including one very long, fun left. Strong off shore winds and pretty clean the entire time I was out. However, current was sucking south and it was very hard to stay on a peak. The bigger sets would break outside and nobody seemed to be on them. Lots of paddling (as usual) and a few fun ones...nothing to write home about (however...at least something to write to stokereport about). Seemed to be closing out more as I left...

Drove to a meeting earlier and decided to take the scenic route. Went by the ###### of OB at 1:00 or so and it didn't look too appetizing. A few guys out and not many guys getting rides. Checked out ###### and there were some tired looking warriors coming out of the water. Looked like a brutal paddle and I give props to those of you who made it out today. Saw a few lucky guys way outside getting some nice bombs....but it looked like a battle.

surfed from 9:30-11:00 at ######. A bit to high tidey, lots of current, and tough to catch a wave. Best peak seemed to be in front of the stop light at ######...and very tough to stay there fighting the current. However, when I was in the parking lot packing it up, witnessed a dude take off deep and get one of the best OB shacks I've ever seen. Kudo's to you random epic shack man. Everyone in the parking lot was wishing they were you.

tale of two sessions:
Session 1; 9:00 - 10:00 at ######. 24 duck dive, tough paddle. Couldn't catch a wave to save my life (nobody seemed to be) and ended up drifting past the second parking lot. Frustrated, I got out early.

Session 2; 11:30 - 1:30 at ######. 27 duck dive, tough paddle. Once out however, very few guys and clean sets coming though with an occasional bomb. Super fun drops with shoulders that would sort mush out but occasional a wave would line up really, really nicely.

When I left (1:45) the wind starting picking up.,.. I think the window may have closed.

Just got back from Bolinas. It was sheltered from the massive swell that's been closing out most of the other local beaches. Tons of people in the water. I got it at high tide, so it was sort of funky but there were some good lefts to be had occasionally. Unfortunately, as I was at the end of my session a group of locals started skunking up the vibe with shouts of 'kooks' to the beginner long boarders, claiming it's ok to snake kooks, etc. Seriously??? None of them ripped, so that's karma I guess.

OB (######) was interesting from 12:30 to 2:30. There were great waves out there...I just wasn't getting them. It seemed that you needed a winning lottery ticket to be in the right spot...and it was extremely crowded. By 2:30 it started getting pretty funky and warblley out there so I called it quits.

Spent the last 45 driving the coast. I'll save you guys from doing the same. . OB looked junky and although the fog obscured the outside I doubt it was worth the paddle. Drove to rockaway where the ocean was vommitting on itself (but 5 guys were out anyway not a one getting a ride). Linda mar was useless (as so often is the case). The jetty is clean and tiny. If you are learning or like to long board the jetty is workable. Me, I'm headed home to find another activity.
