Dumb leash stirng question

My longboard leash string broke over the weekend. This is the narrow-hole-through-the-fin-box variety. Not the plug and bar.

Tennis elbow?

I tweaked my elbow surfing in February and it hasn't gone away. It has been tolerable for the last month. But I started taking my paddleboard out last week and my elbow got worse. I just did the dumbest thing one can do on the internet, I self-diagnosed an ailment. But the symptoms fit the tennis elbow description.

Fine here is a report from Sunday afternoon around 2:30, a few hundred yards off the ferry building (sorry if that's too specific). The wake from the redneck rocket boat created something that might have vaguely approximated surfing. Or at least a small amount of glide under the paddleboard. I promptly gave the asshole driving that thing the finger. The tourists did not seem to understand my displeasure.

Screw Hawaii, I saw an unbroken rainbow from one end of the city to the other about 20 minutes before sunset. The contrasting colors from the rain and the sunset made for some sepia toned waves as well. Oh yeah, they were head high, glassy with a mild offshore. I even figured out my fish today. Great session all around.
